Ironman Andy pushes the limits of fundraising
Long-time volunteer Andy went the extra mile(s) for BTP in September, 2007. Literally. Having set a personal goal of attempting an iron distance triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle, 26.2 mile run) earlier in the year, he turned it into a fundraiser for BTP. Andy completed the gruelling event in eastern Washington's blazing heat, complicated by a wildfire that demanded a course change that added 5 miles to the bike ride.
Andy raised $1100 for BTP, which more than made up for those nasty blisters! Chilly Hilly 2007 bike ride raises money for BTP
Congratulations to the BTP Chilly Hilly bike ride participants!
Riders solicited pledges and donations and participated in the annual
33-mile bike ride around Bainbridge Island. Many thanks to Red who was tops in money raised. Honorable mentions go to Lester, Glen, and Kris who also raised much-needed operating funds for BTP.Pledges totaled over $1000! Our greatest appreciation goes to those who rode and made pledges! The event is sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club.
Creative Release: A Benefit Art Auction for Books to Prisoners! Many thanks to those who donated art for the auction, purchased art at the auction, and helped to set up the event! Nearly $2500 was raised at the event!
